2007 Saw Record Net Cash Flows into ETFs

etf securitiesIn a report issued by the National Stock Exchange (NSX and formerly the Cincinnati Stock Exhange), net cash flows to ETFs topped $150 billion in 2007. Year-end ETF assets totaled $622.6 billion, up 44% from 2006.

One of the big winners was State Street’s SPDR S&P 500 Index (SPY) which realized net positive cash flows of $33.3 billion in 2007 with $23.5 billion coming in the month of December alone.
