Bigger isn’t always better when it comes to ETFs

Good opportunities are to be had among small-cap stocks.

That’s according to Forbes reporter Amanda Tsao. In the article Get Happy with Small-Caps, Tsao writes that small-caps have largely outperformed their larger brethern. The Russell 2000 Index is up 13.6% year to date compared to the S&P 500′s 11.1%. Over 10 years, the Russell 2000 is up 2.2% while larger stocks are down 24.9%.
To gain exposure to small-caps, Tsao recommends the $11 billion iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM).
